The genesis of this photography group started in the fall of 2002 when the five first met at a course at the International Center of Photography on "Developing a Personal Vision." Coming from different directions and perspectives, these women worked to find their own unique style and personal vision. After the class ended, the five women continued to meet regularly in each other's homes, critiquing, supporting and mentoring each others' work. Gradually, they built individual bodies of work reflecting their own styles and personalities.
